We are the cover story in the December, 2016 Connecticut Magazine, still available on line. We're Food Network's ReWrapped Champions, Sweet Genius finalists, and we we won the People's Choice "Most Creative Chocolate Creation and the Critic's Choice "Most Amazing Chocolate Flavor" awards at the 2016 "Chocolate to the Rescue" competition! Plus, Yankee Magazine just awarded us Editor's Choice as Best Sweet Shop!
So what makes our chocolates so special besides the love we put into them)?
Our hand-made artisanal chocolates and sculptures feature only the finest ingredients including, whenever practicable, local honeys and herbs and top-shelf spirits. All our chocolate is stone-ground, all of it is super-premium coverture-grade (the top 2% of the world's chocolate supply) all of it is fair trade, and all of it is naturally gluten-free (except for a few products featuring crushed crepes or similar inclusions). We also offer a variety of vegan options. We proudly participate in the Connecticut Department of Agriculture's Farm-to-Chef program whenever practical. We can also make special order tarts, cakes and breads, in some cases gluten-free. STRAWBERRIES should be ordered at least a day ahead, as they are perishable and we dip them to order.

Unofficial Hours / Connecticut Chocolate Trail/ Wesleyan Visits:
Often, even when we are closed, we are really just trying to catch up on production or paperwork. We are officially closed when the statistics show business is flat. But... you are not a statistic. So feel free to text or call ahead. If there is any way we can accommodate you, even if it is outside regular hours, we will be more than happy to.
Tschudin Chocolates is located on MAIN STREET at the corner of Court Street, Middletown, CT 06457, between AT&T & Amici Grille, in the same block as the Police Department and First & Last Tavern and across the street from Bank of America and Liberty Bank. Take note of all this; some navigation systems will send you to a mental hospital. Our chocolates will send you to heaven. The choice is yours. Some guests say inputting "280 Main Street 06457" works for them.
For the latest pictures, news, events etc. we have a public Facebook page. We can update our Facebook page in an instant on any smartphone; updating this website takes longer and requires chaining ourselves to a computer.
We make chocolate high-heels, platform shoes, flip-flops, ballet slippers, running shoes and can produce centerpieces and table favors for just about any special event, including weddings, birthdays, and business promotions.
In good weather, we have an outdoor cafe-like atmosphere, so you can enjoy custom-made hot chocolate (not a speck of cocoa powder, just stone-ground chocolate coverture) while enveloped in fresh chocolate aroma.
Our chocolates are one-of-a kind, many infused with exotic flavors, and we enjoy making new chocolates, candy bars and even barks that you think would be fun, too!
Last, but not least, we are kid friendly, and even have a "kids entrance," leading back to the production area. Kids of all ages love our birthday parties - and, since we are BYOB, should you so choose, truffles and bubbles can be part of the fun, too!
So, come join us for a chocolate pick-me up, an after-dinner dessert, wedding and shower favors or that perfect gift box of fresh cream chocolates guaranteed to earn you at least a "thank you," if not a hug and a kiss!
Tschudin Chocolates! It's not just the chocolates; its also the experience!
